Short version: your habits never leave your phone.
Last updated: 7 August 2026
NORV is created by Charlène Dumas, an independent developer acting as data controller. Contact: contact@studiosharl.com
The app is offline-first. There are no user accounts and no backend servers of ours. All the data you create in the app — your habits, streaks, progress, scores, contracts, mental debriefs and settings — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Because of this, deleting the app deletes your history. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
NORV uses Sentry, a third-party error-monitoring service, to collect technical diagnostic information when the app crashes or misbehaves. This is limited to:
We have deliberately turned off the features that would collect more: no session replay (no recording of your screen), no user-identifying data (no IP address or personal context attached to reports), and no user-feedback capture. The content you write in the app — your habits, your "why", your mental debriefs — is never included in a crash report.
Sentry data is hosted on servers located in the European Union.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our purchase-infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier in order to validate transactions and let you restore your purchase on another device.
We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles payment entirely. No name, email or address is attached to a purchase on our side. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for their own practices.
NORV does not:
Processing of diagnostic data relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and secure.
If you are in the EU, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by writing to contact@studiosharl.com.
In practice, diagnostic data is technical and not linked to your identity, so we are generally unable to attribute a crash report to a specific person. Everything else lives on your device, under your control — you can erase it at any time from the app ("Start over from scratch" in Profile) or by deleting the app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
NORV is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Diagnostic data is retained according to Sentry's standard retention practices. The content you create stays on your device for as long as you keep it.
Any update will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through an app update.
